What MicroLearnerAI collects, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who we are

MicroLearnerAI ("we", "us") operates the microlearnerai.com website and the MicroLearnerAI chat application. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the service and how we handle it. Questions? Email support@microlearnerai.com.

2. Account data

When you create an account we collect:

• Your name and email address (directly, or via Google Sign-In if you choose it).
• A hashed version of your password. We never store plaintext passwords.
• Your plan, usage, and settings, so we can operate your subscription and enforce plan limits.
• The content you create in the app — chats, skills, files, and generated artifacts — so we can show it back to you and sync it across sessions.

3. Payment processing (Stripe)

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your payment details on Stripe's secure form; your full card number never touches our servers. We receive and store only Stripe identifiers (customer and subscription IDs), the last four digits and brand of your card, and your billing status, so we can manage your plan. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how far people scroll, and where they get stuck — including session replays and heatmaps. Clarity collects behavioral data via cookies and similar technologies. We use this only to improve the product. Microsoft's handling of this data is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser localStorage to keep you signed in (authentication and session tokens), remember your preferences, and support the analytics described above. You can clear or block these in your browser settings, but sign-in and core app features will stop working without them.

6. Third-party AI providers

MicroLearnerAI routes your chat messages, attached files, and relevant context to third-party AI model providers (for example DeepSeek, or the provider behind your own API key if you use one) to generate responses. These providers process that content to produce the answer you asked for. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing with an AI provider. If you use your own API key, your relationship with that provider is governed by their terms and privacy policy.

7. How we use data

• To provide, maintain, and secure the service.
• To bill you and manage your subscription.
• To respond to support requests.
• To analyze aggregate usage and improve the product.
• To detect abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from the Settings page, which removes your profile and content from active systems; residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period. Billing records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a data breach where the law requires it.

10. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
